WORSHIP
Our 8 am service is up and running!
Are you usually an early riser? Are you interested in a more intimate and private worship service? Please consider attending the 8 am service on Sundays. There is plenty of space to social distance at this peaceful meditative service. Join us!
Sunday School Update
We invite all kids to join us each Sunday for Bold Transformational Faith Sunday School classes. We will also email the materials for those who choose to worship virtually. We hope that this new program inspires and enriches the faith life of your children. Please email Rev. Ellen if you have any questions.
Sunday School begins at 10:10 am. Lori Piazza will lead the class this week. The lessons will be emailed to our virtual families every Monday. You can register your children online here: https://www.stpaulschatham.org/sunday-school-registration
Special Presentation by our own Andrew Walker This Sunday!
Join us for worship this Sunday! There will be a special presentation during the sermon time by parishioner Andrew Walker. He will share his inspiration for establishing the nonprofit organization he founded last year, Elevate to Even Plus. He will also provide an update on their plans for 2022. Elevate to Even Plus, aka Eleven+, was formed to disrupt social and economic inequity in our communities by providing underserved students with access to formative, paid internships. More can be found on its website www.eleven-plus.org
Prayers
We ask your prayers this week for John, Amaryllis, Martha, Marcy, Norm, Ed, Kathy, Michael, Gloria, Beth, Pauline, Sam, Mark, Marilyn, Sophia, John, Sarah, Mary and Matt.
Please notify the office if you have any changes or additions to the Prayer List.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Coat Drive!
Simonfay Landscaping takes beautiful care of our Memorial Close, and also takes care of many refugees and homeless people. Currently, they will match any donations of coats, sleeping bags, and tents. For each of these items donated, they will purchase a new one also for refugees and homeless people. Beginning Sunday, please drop off any unused coats, sleeping bags and tents in the Outreach Alcove of the Narthex.
More College Care Packages!
Albie Ashbrook will be coordinating the collection, packing and sending of college care packages to St. Paul's students who are away from home. If you have a student that you think would appreciate a package in the mail, anything you would like to send to a specific student, or an item you would like to donate for each package, please contact Albie Ashbrook.
NEWS
Vestry Update
St. Paul's Vestry met on Wednesday, January 19th via Zoom. The Treasurer, Jed Evans, reported that St. Paul's ended 2021 in a very good place financially, largely due to a PPP loan. Pledges for 2022 are down. Plans for Lent at St. Paul's were discussed, including the possibility of holding the Pancake Supper. The carpet in the Sanctuary will be replaced but carpet in the Narthex, Sacristy, lobby and Library will be replaced at a later date. The Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, May 1st. There will be five openings on the Vestry, four regular and one student; three members will be up for re-election. Building Use contracts will be reviewed and updated. A parish questionnaire will be distributed.
