NEWS
Vestry Update
The Vestry met on Wednesday, February 16. Phil White spoke about the effort to have Stewardship become a year-round consideration. Financially, St. Paul’s is sound this month, with income up a bit. Upcoming events include the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, a presentation/visit by author Maggie Doyne, and a Dinner/Show fundraiser by an Irish Dance Troupe. The new Sunday School program seems to be going very well and provides for good discussions with the children. Carpet should be chosen in a couple of weeks and approved by the Vestry at the next meeting. Our Bishop has forbidden worship without masks until she changes her mandate. The Annual Meeting will be held on May 1.
Search Committee Update
Thanks for your prayers to date as we navigate through the diocese’s new search process.
We’ve been in close contact with Canon Clark, Bishop Hughes’ Team Member accountable for helping parishes through the search process. We have very recently received a few names of candidates for our Priest in Charge role. All are from within the diocese.
The Search Committee will soon be reviewing resumes and supporting materials and we will be setting up interviews with candidates soon.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
