College Care Packages Sent!
Care packages were sent to St. Paul's college students this week, just to let them know we are thinking of them! Thank you, Albie Ashbrook and Rev. Ellen, for your work!
George's Parting Gift
Our beloved seminarian, George Dredden, loved his illuminated framed prayer, a gift from the parish to him in recognition of his three years of devoted ministry to St. Paul's!
Coffee Hour
A festive Coffee Hour!
Coffee Hour after the 10:00am service has been a tradition at St. Paul's for many, many years. It is a wonderful time to chat with friends, enjoy refreshments and enjoy our fellowship. In order to ensure that we have this opportunity each week, we are looking for volunteers to sign up to 'host' Coffee Hour by bringing in individually-wrapped snacks and juice boxes to go with the coffee provided (and started by Sam!). Another essential role of the coffee hour host is setting up and cleaning up afterwards. Coffee Hour will be in the Parish Hall beginning Sunday, October 10th, due to weather and bee season!
Please sign up to help on the poster in the Parish Hall!

Music Notes
Sunday’s Prelude, by British composer Herbert Howells, is a very quiet piece, which takes about 8 minutes to play. Quite moody, but I find it satisfying to hear and to play. I guess he couldn’t figure out what to call it, so he simply titled it “Prelude, Sine Nomine”. The postlude, on the other hand, by Daniel E. Gawthrop, is far from quiet, certainly not serene, and goes like the wind! It’s called “Toccata Brevis”, and indeed is Brevis. Praise God!
The offertory anthem is “Immortal, invisible”. You will surely recognize the tune. After singing quiet anthems for the past weeks, it’s kind of fun to let our hair down (at least THEIR hair down) and open up a bit. Hope you enjoy it! The Communion anthem is “In the quiet consecration” by V. Earle Copes. A lovely melody, with lots of unison singing.

Ministry Volunteers Needed!
Choir is rehearsing! Choir meets every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. New members are welcome. Choir is a small, friendly group of members who love to sing. Their music is varied in style, period and accompaniment. Please talk to any member about their choir experiences!
