NEWS
Seeking a Volunteer...
Have a few minutes each week? Help is needed to deliver the donated food at St. Paul's to the shed for the Chatham Food Pantry, behind the Chatham United Methodist Church. Please either speak to Rev. Ellen or contact the office.
Altar Flowers
At St. Paul's, Altar Flowers are often donated in memory of a loved one. Altar Flowers, however, may be donated for any reason--to the glory of God, in thanksgiving for a loved one's recovery, a new birth in the family, or anything you feel called to memorialize. For more information on supporting the Altar Flower ministry (which strives to be self-supporting) and donating flowers, please email the office.
Vestry Update
The Vestry met virtually on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. The budget for 2022 was approved. Outreach distributions were made: North Porch ($1,500), the Food Bank ($2,312), The Seaman’s Institute ($1,000), Bridges ($500), and Crossroads ($1,500) to add to previous disbursements for Outreach. Building and Grounds reports that the carpet replacement (necessary because of bubbling ) will likely be done in stages with the sanctuary and narthex replaced first and the rest of the upper floor done in the future. Upcoming events include the Visitation by the Bishop, Greening of the Church, and the Christmas services. Transition meetings with the Diocese are ongoing. Rev. Ellen will organize a Calling Campaign to reach out to members of the congregation we haven’t seen or heard from recently.
