WORSHIP

Sunday School Update

We are pleased to announce that we are beginning a new Sunday school program called Bold Transformational Faith created by the team at Crossroads/Luther Crest camps. They provide weekly lesson plans based on the Revised Common Lectionary that we use in the church. The curriculum includes lessons, videos and newsletters. Each week, we will have one of our Sunday school teachers lead the in-person classes. Then, we will email the materials to you all for those who are worshiping virtually. I have attached the materials from Sunday's class. The link to the video, which is fun and informative, is below. We hope that this new program inspires and enriches the faith life of your children. Please email Rev. Ellen if you have any questions.

Sunday School begins at 10:10 am. Mary Foster will lead the class this week. The lessons will be emailed to our virtual families every Monday. You can register your children online here: https://www.stpaulschatham.org/sunday-school-registration

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Event

In the morning on Marting Luther King Day, members of the community drove through the parking lot at Chatham United Methodist Church to drop off food for the Chatham food bank. At 12 noon, a service sponsored by the Chatham Interfaith Council and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of Chatham Borough was held in the church, remembering the work of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and closing with a "Litany of Encouragement" with quotes from King read aloud by those congregated.

Altar Flowers

At St. Paul's, Altar Flowers are often donated in memory of a loved one. Altar Flowers, however, may be donated for any reason--to the glory of God, in thanksgiving for a loved one's recovery, a new birth in the family, or anything you feel called to memorialize. For more information on supporting the Altar Flower ministry (which strives to be self-supporting) and donating flowers, please email the office.

Last Week, in Concert

Greg Voinier presented a wonderful concert last Sunday, following the service!

At the Organ...

What most of us don't see each week on Sunday is the active teamwork of Nancy and Jim Little. Jim Little, as you may know, is our organist and choir director. Nancy Little, Jim's wife, sings alto in the choir and turns pages expertly for Jim. Obviously, a wonderful team!
