Summer Sundays at St. Paul's!

By:
The Rev. Mary E. Davis

Summer Sundays at St. Paul’s are full of opportunities FOR ALL AGES to learn, grow, and participate in worship in new ways.

Our weekly rotations for 10am Greeters, Lay Readers, Chalicists, Hospitality Hosts, Candle Lighters/Snuffers, bell ringers, and Sunday School helpers will be OPEN to anyone who would like to participate.  Each week, there will be index cards on the bulletin board, just inside the front doors with the job title on the front and detailed instructions on the back.  As you arrive (before the 10am worship time!), take a card. Then at the end of worship, return your card to the board for the next week.  Everyone – regardless of age or experience – is invited to participate in worship this summer!
Sunday School and Choir will also remain OPEN this summer!  Given the fact that every Sunday is a celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, every Sunday is special!  Children are welcome to attend Sunday School, beginning at 10am – 10:40am in the Moore Conference room downstairs, and those who like to sing are invited and welcome to join our organist and choirmaster, Jim Little in rehearsal at 9am each Sunday.
Finally, our worship services this summer will take us on a trip around the world of the Anglican Communion. As Episcopalians, we are part of a global family of over 80 million people, and this summer’s liturgies will enable us to “travel” the world of Anglican worship. While we all share the same foundational prayers, based on our Book of Common Prayer, you will note that each country’s worship and language have been culturally adapted. Join us as we pray each week alongside our sisters and brothers around the world. No passport is necessary.
